actually, we have been hit, and under bush's administration. 9/11/01 was under bush's watch with his "no tolerance for foolishness" business. seems he reserves his intolerance for times when it's more convenient for him.

I HATE running. I have tried and tried to get to that point where I could actually enjoy it, but I never seem to make it. I always thought it was because I was too out of shape for it, but even when I ran and trained I never could get into the mindset that it was good.

I'm glad you get the satisfaction from it. I think it is one of those things you get or you don't.

Kick those boys' asses!!!!

" perhaps, but i think people lose site of that because they feel threatened. if we were more confident in being open-minded about such visits, perhaps we could turn the results around as Ahmadinejad did... "

why does the picture of President Bush being the target of a Muslim news journalist throwing a shoe come to my mind at this moment? ... how open-minded do we have to be before the terrorist attack hits us square between the eye... oh ... wait! that's right, we haven't been hit, because President Bush doesn't and hasn't tolerated that kind of foolishness during his eight years... :)

well, let's just wait and see with the new overlord, the clock is ticking as of the 21st. the clock is ticking as of the 21st of january 2009 for the next four years.

i was very confused about this blog... reading it repeatedly... until someone kindly walked me through it, pointing out the subsequent websites that helped explain. in the intervening time since this has been written, the Westboro Baptist Church has performed a number of repeated 'protests' at funerals, and other locations, including Camp LaJeune... which, being a Marine base, is pretty serious in my eyes from the 'git-go'. it is not so much that these people are Christian by any stretch of the imagination. Knowing a great deal about Christ and having a profound affection for Him and the supreme Sacrifice He made for the World, i can only surmise that these folk are in true need of... help? though of what kind I am unsure. i would seriously consider restraining them and their ilk within 100 yards from any function they desired to disrupt, given the unfortunate reality that the very soldiers (in those cases) who died in battle, died for the freedom of these folk to do what they are doing :/ . a conundrum, i think.

Running 30 minutes after a long time is very good. I think yoga helps with other workouts - alteast it works for me - reminds me to breathe correctly while workout, crunches or running! I wish I could find a way to connect breathing with control on junk food :)
