Been a busy girl lately.
Met with a mortgage broker last night to talk about mortgage options. That being said, I’m looking to buy a house within the next 2 months. The boyfriend is getting laid off as of 3/30, so we’re not sure if he’ll be on the mortgage or not. Called a realtor the other day, and will probably meet with her this weekend. Looking at a house that a friend has for sale.
Not sure what the near future holds, but I’ll find out soon. I’m pretty darn excited about buying a house…I feel especially empowered thinking that I may be the only 1 on the mortgage. ROAR!
hehe.

nothing goes better with an evening at the library than an irish creme latte. yum.

everyday, someone else at my company is turning in their notice. things are looking notsogood these days. it’s tough to keep my motivation. the only thing that keeps me going is what i’ll be able to tell my next employer–that i work my ass off no matter what the circumstances.
we expect another “company meeting” (a la office space, though transunion doesn’t do us the courtesy of bringing in consultants) this week. the IT dept. is just waiting for the big hit. who knows though…

i just saw steve smith of the panthers at the barbeque store where i was picking up some omaha steaks! i didn’t know it was him till he left and the guys at the register told me though (not used to seeing him without a helmet on).
i’m kicking myself right now. but it was still cool.

keith olbermann has been in quite a banter with james dobson and focus on the family. coming from the “dobsonian” teachings of my parents, it’s interesting to see the other side of those teachings… and the incredible effect it has on people–quite opposite than what they think.
an interesting bit:
And not to let the facts get in the way of FOF’s prejudice, but I happen to be a religious man. I believe in God, I pray daily, and if I’ve ever gotten any direct instructions from my maker, they were that I’ll be judged by whether I tried to help other people, or hurt them. Also, that true belief should not be worn like a policeman’s club, nor used like one. And, finally, that I’m in big trouble for helping to introduce funny catchphrases into sportscasting.
i post this not to put down what i grew up with, but merely to point out that it’s not nearly as effective as most of them think.

what the terrorists claim:
drudge’s theory:

I sincerely hope that what the drudge has presented is true. I really do… Not just because the supposed soldier would be safe, but because of how fucking funny that would be.
Edit: here’s a link to an actual retailer of the toy.

Even if you drink from the chalice of cheap escape and fade away
I’ll never ever let you go
I can’t believe she whispered to me
I don’t wanna breathe
