that is what i might be sayin’ if i had paid $$ money for the new nickelback album. is it just me, or do they sound like a goofy country rock band? the music is good, but the lyrics are very countrified… larry lollers and i have had this discussion, but i felt the need to post about it.

on the other hand, the 2nd cd to system of a down’s 2-disc release is really freakin’ good….as usual. be sure to listen to it more than once, even if you don’t like it at first. they are very talented musicians!

i’m almost done with school. i’ve got a good job (for now).

now what? another degree? graduate school? rest? a family? riiight.

i definitely need some time off, but i’ve been pondering where the next path will lead me. this semester, i’ve learned what it means to be stretched beyond my limit. while i’m getting a lot accomplished, i’m way overbooked in terms of the things i’ve committed to. i like being busy, but this is beyond that. now i’m just struggling to get some of the things off my plate.

so how do i manage that in the future? i find it difficult to judge the amount of committment something is going to take. perhaps that comes only with experience. i need to look more critically at the time cost when evaluating taking on another task.

hm. just some ponderings.

i’m very grateful for the support system i have. i’m so thankful to have a supporting family, an encouraging boyfriend, understanding co-workers (and bosses), and supportive friends. thank you all (both of you lah). i couldn’t be where i am without the people who’ve been a part of my life. i’m even thankful for my adversaries…for without them, i would be much more ignorant of the adverse part of human nature.
