i’m working on redesigning the layout (at least colors, pics, etc.) of the blog, so it might look a little mish-mashed for a bit until i can finish. i’m debating on which theme i’m going to stick with. there are so many pics that i’d like to incorporate… i need to do a theme all my own anyway. :\

someone came up with a fairly accurate pie chart displaying where a web designer spends most of his time. i think it’s quite entertaining. perhaps ie7 will resolve some of the css incompatibilities. /crossingFingers

i have very little motivation to work right now. i’m exhausted from the past several weeks of general busy-ness, in particular my trip to vegas this weekend, along with the unexpected daytrip into chicago.
i would really like some rest right now.
i wish the new layout would work properly. finally–got the layout fixed…darn posts with tables in them.

musings
peace of mind
want to walk
crossing the river
i watch the stream flow by.
scattered across
miles high in the sky
music floats on
coming closer to loss.
out of control
the cycle continues
how long must i stay here
the path must move onward.

i had a livejournal many moons ago. it was how i was introduced to blogging, though at the time, i didn’t realize it. i just thought it would be a cool, easy method of posting artwork, poetry, and other random thoughts on a regular basis–much easier than trying to update a static web page every day.
lore sjoberg has an interesting little article about the dos and don’ts of lj. quite entertaining.
most of the friends i had, i knew. there were a few here and there that i became friends with through lj, and learned a lesson or two from.
what i find most interesting is that myspace has become the trendy thing now as opposed to livejournal–an interesting transition, in my opinion. wonder what the next web trend will be.

i have found a new release. new for me anyway. i have found yoga. did my first class last night at yoga south and LOVE IT! i am going to take this on as a habit and a path to personal growth. i’ve been wanting to do it for a long time, and now i’ve taken the first step.
one of the things i observed is that you get a really unique high from yoga because of 1-endorphines and 2-oxygen. breathing deeply + stretching/holding a pose = exercise + high!
haha. i’m so happy right now because of the peace i have found.
